The Center does research in the following areas:

– fundamental and applied studies in physical-and-chemical materials science;

– development of new special-purpose composite materials;

– nanocomposite materials on the basis of ferromagnetic metals and various forms of carbon.

The Center proposes for commercialization and cooperative upgrading new special-purpose composite materials on the basis of refractory boride, intended for nuclear power engineering, nuclear power plants, agencies under the Ministry for Emergency Situations and Population Protection from the Effects of the Chornobyl Accident.
