The principal research areas of the Institute are:

– fundamental and applied studies in the sphere of machine intelligence, development and creation of intellectual computers and robotic systems, in particular, guard and security systems, systems of technical vision, speech and image recognition;

– development of computer information technologies, computer systems of intellectual diagnostics and testing;

– development of computer training systems.

Donetsk science school in machine intelligence, headed by Prof. A.I. Shevchenko, Dr. Tech. Sc., functions at the Institute.

The list of developments proposed for joint commercialization:

1. a device of guard signal system, remote control and information (‘MASTER-AUTO’ GSM-signal system);

2. computer tests to determine IQ;

3. a computer musical note editor;

4. mobile intellectual mechanical robots.
