– Development of principles and methodology of socio-demographic forecasts;

– Studies aimed at higher efficiency of the state social policy, improving the living standards of the population, eradicating poverty and forming the middle class in the society, reforming the social welfare assistance system, developing labor relations and social partnership, gender studies;

– Comprehensive analysis of migratory processes;

– Development of methodological tools for estimating and modeling human development and its elements;

– Development of methodological instruments for integrated information use in the analysis of social, economic and demographical processes;

– Research into problems of demographic potential reproduction.
