The institute does research into:

– structure and values of world civilizations; civilization aspects of globalization process;

– financial globalization and financial component of world economy process; particular features of forming export potential of the states in the context of modern globalization process;

– problems of sustainable development under globalization; foreign-policy aspects of implementing economic reforms and transition to stable development in the Euro-Atlantic region; conceptual basis and world experience of ensuring national interests through foreign policy and diplomacy;

– main tendencies in the enlargement of the European Union to the East; prospects and effects of Ukraine joining the WTO; the influence of European integration processes on the social and economic development of Ukraine;

– patterns and prospects of African and Middle East countries in the context of their evolutional transformation and aggravation of social and economic problems; integrational and regional processes in the Asian-Pacific countries.

Science schools of the Institute:

– ‘Cililizational analysis of the modern world’;

– ‘Civilizational sociocogenesis’;

– ‘Political, economic and social globalization studies’.

The Institute of World Economy and International Relations is interested in furthering its academic ties and will encourage collaboration with domestic and foreign research organizations and individual experts in international economics and politics.
