Presently, the Institute is doing research in the following areas:

– economic growth and restructuring in the economy;

– modeling and short-time forecasting;

– sector forecasts and market opportunities;

– competition policy and forecasts of industrial potential;

– financial and budget forecasting;

– financial and monetary regulation;

– development and regulation on financial markets;

– economy and policy of agrarian transitions;

– forms and methods of economic management in agribusiness;

– technology forecasting and innovation policy;

– monitoring development of socio-economic transformations in the Ukrainian society;

– economic history.

The Institute has the following science schools:

– modeling of economic development (led by V. M. Heyets, Director of the Institute, NAS academician, Honored Worker in Science and Technology of Ukraine);

– present-day agrarian and agro-industrial systems (led by O. M. Onishchenko, NAS academician);

– development of industrial economic potential (led by O. M. Alymov, NAS Academician, Honored Worker in Science and Technology of Ukraine);

– financial and credit regulation of the economy (led by A. I. Danilenko, Dr. of Econ., Prof., Honored Worker in Economics of Ukraine);

– theories of economic growth (led by B. Ye. Kvasniuk, Dr. of Econ.);

– financial forecasting (led by S. O. Korablin, Dr. of Econ);

– modeling of innovative development (led by V. P. Alexandrova, Dr. of Econ., Prof., Leading Research Fellow).

Projects proposed for introduction to practice:

1. institutional architectonics and dynamics of economic transformations;

2. real sector of the economy in the structure of GDP reproduction in Ukraine;

3. a system of macroeconomic models of economic growth;

4. a methodology of short-term macroeconomic forecasting with regard to harmonization of macroeconomic proportions in Ukraine;

5. government’s financial policy as an instrument of sustainable economic growth;

6. restructuring in Ukraine’s sector markets (methodology and evaluation methods);

7. Ukraine’s agribusiness in the context of implementing current agrarian policy.
